My name is Natalie and I am currently working on my certification for Birth Doula through DONA.org.
I have a very special place in my heart for mothers. I strive to be a friend and confidant in almost everything I do.
Being a doula has been a dream of mine ever since I gave birth to my first child I just didn't know it until I had my second baby.
I have had two wonderful natural births in a hospital. I wouldn't have been able to do it without the support system I had in place. I did not take any childbirth classes before birth but because I had two very great coaches I was able to have the birth experience I wanted with both of my daughters. That is why I am working so hard to make sure that every mother gets to have the birth experience she has dreamed about.

I do not want to come in and take over the birth I just want to help women find their voice in this world of laboring women who all have their own unique story.
Birth is a rite of passage for a family and deserves to be treated as such.
My ultimate goal is to block out a birth each month for a special case birth whether it be a teen mom or a woman that is at the battered womans shelter. I want them to know that there is someone out there that loves them and values them.
